·         Dr. A. Umamaheswari, Associate professor & Head, Department of Bioinformatics was awarded with Andhra Pradesh State Best Teacher Award at University Level from Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 5th September 2015at Visakhapatnam.

·         Dr. A. Umamaheswari, Associate professor & Head, Department of Bioinformatics was bestowed with the Associate Fellow of Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences (APAS) Award from Prof. Ch. Mohan Rao, Director, CCMB, at Hyderabad on 7th February 2015.

·         Dr. A. Umamaheswari, Associate professor & Head, Department of Bioinformatics got a Certificate of merit from the Director, SVIMS on International Women's day in 2011 for research excellence.

·         Dr. A. Umamaheswari, Associate professor & Head, Department of Bioinformatics got a Certificate of appreciation from the Director, SVIMS on republic day in 2010 for her meritorious services.

1)     Sudheer Kumar K., Siva Krishna V., Hemanth Kumar M., Pradeep N and Umamaheswari A.  Inhibitor design against murA, a common bacterial target against different strains of Xanthomonasoryzae was presented, awarded as the best poster and published in the National Conference on Bioinformatics Panaroma in Agriculture and Health (NCBPAH-2015) organized by Society of Bioinformatics and Department of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Jacob School of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences (SHIATS), Allahabad-211007, U.P., India From 05th to 06th October, 2015.

2)     Hemanth Kumar M., Umamaheswari A., Siva Krishna V. and Sudheer Kumar K.  Protein Network Analysis to Identify Common Drug Targets Against Bacterial Leaf Blight And Bacterial Leaf Streak Pathogens of Rice was presented, awarded as the best poster and published in the National Conference on Emerging Trends in Agrinanotechnology, 2015 organised by Regional Agricultural Research Station, Acharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Tirupati from 11th to 12th March, 2015.

3)     NarasimguNarasimhulu, I Vani Priyadarshini, Swargam Sandeep and Amineni Umamaheswari.  Identification of novel inhibitor molecules for choloylglycine hydrolase of Enterococcus faecalis was presented, awarded as the best poster and published in the Innovations In Microbial World NCIMW, 2015 organised by Department of Applied Microbiology, Sri PadmavatiMahilaVisvavidyalayam, Tirupati from 23rd to 24th January, 2015.

4)     Sandeep S, Rajeswari J and Umamaheswari A.  Exploration of potential EGFR inhibitors:A combination of energy based pharmacophore modeling, molecular docking analysis was presented awarded as the best poster in the National Seminar on TRendys in Biochemistry, 2014 organised by Department of Bio-Chemistry, Acharya Nagarajuna University, Guntur from 17th to 18th October, 2014.

5)     Priyadarshini I.V., Pradhan D., MuniKumar M., Sandeep S., Pradeep N., Hema K. and Umamaheswari A.  Molecular modeling, docking and dynamics studies to identify potent InfC inhibitors for pathogens causing infective endocarditis. A National Seminar on Present Status and Future Prospects of Biotechnology and Their Applications and received young scientist award from 27th to 29th March 2014 in University Campus Dravidian University, Srinivasavanam, Kuppam, A.P., India.

6)     AnjumMobeen S., Pradhan. D., Vani Priyadarshini, Munikumar M., Sandeep S. and Umamaheswari A.  Identification of potent inhibitors for 3β-secretase through structure based virtual screening and molecular dynamics simulations. awarded as best paper in National Conference on Recent Trends in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics organized by Yogi Vemana University from 12th-13th February 2014.

7)     Pradeep N., Sandeep S., Hema K., Umamaheswari A.   E-Pharmacophore based virtual screening to identify lead molecules for GSK-3β induced Alzheimer’s disease received best paper presentation award in National seminar on Bioinformatics organized by SVIMS Bioinformatics Centre, SVIMS University, Tirupati from 14th -15th February 2014.

8)     Munikumar M, Priyadarshini V, Pradhan D, Umamaheswari A.  Identification of potent inhibitors for RuvA through different docking strategies received best poster presentation award in National seminar on Bioinformatics organized by SVIMS Bioinformatics Centre, SVIMS University, Tirupati from 14th-15th February 2014.

9)     Pradhan D, Priyadarshini V, Munikumar M, Sandeep S, Pradeep N, Hema K and Umamaheswari A.  Multiple Docking Strategies, Prime/MM-GBSA Calculations and Molecular Dynamics Simulations for Lead Discovery against Leptospirainterrogans won Poster presentation award in Recent advances in computational drug design organized at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore From 16th and 17th September 2013.

12)  Pradhan D, Priyadarshini V, Munikumar M, Sandeep S, Pradeep N, Hema K and Umamaheswari A.  Discovery of potent MurC inhibitor of Leptospirainterrogans through structure based drug designing”, won Association of Biotechnology & Pharmacy junior scientist award 2012 (1st Prize) in " International Conference on Environment impact on human health and therapeutic challenges " organized by Dept. of virology, SV University, AP, India from 20th-22nd Dec 2012.
