Introduction
SVIMS have a comprehensive Emergency Medicine,
equipped with 16 beds for life saving medical services to patients
under one roof and supported by another 30 beds in MICU and RICU.
The Department is fully air-conditioned and equipped with
sophisticated Monitors, Ventilators and defibrillators.
The department can manage all trauma and
emergency services - poisoning, snakebite, road accident,
occupational injury, cardiac, respiratory or any type of emergency.
The emergency ward is backed up by 24 hrs blood bank, Biochemistry,
Microbiology, Pathology and Radiology. The Resident Doctors,
Specialists, Para medical staff are available round the clock. After
initial treatment the patient is admitted to the ward, Intensive
care unit or wheeled to OT for immediate surgery.
