Future Plans

 

1)      Expand the laboratory and diagnostic services of the Department by inducting more state of the art equipment including a new Bone Denistometry by DEXA and Mass spectrometry for hormone analysis.

2)      Introduce Real time Continuous Glucose monitoring systems and Insulin pump device services.

3)      Develop  more integrated diabetes services particularly on management of diabetic foot , retinopathy and Nephropathy through collaboration with relevant departments (plastic surgery, ophthalmology and nephrology respectively)

4)      Research in Diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders and polycystic ovary syndrome.

5)      Adopt new teaching techniques for Residents including recordings of Expert Speakers at leading International Conferences
