Introduction
The department of Forensic
Medicine is located at Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women
SVIMS ever since its inception in the year 2014. The department is
consisting of office chambers for Faculty, Demo Rooms, Museum,
Research Lab, Library, practical lab. The department of Forensic
Medicine is carrying out academic teaching programme for 2nd and 3rd
MBBS Students and also interns as per revised NMC Curriculum 2020.
The department is engaged in multifarious activities of teaching,
training and research. Has future vision to be involved in
medico-legal post-mortems, Clinical Forensic medicine Services
(Toxicology LAB) & court related works. Department aims to provide
expert Medico-legal opinion in referred cases from courts and police
investigation office.

MBBS Internship
The Department is undertaking MBBS training
of students in the areas of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology,
Medical jurisprudence including Medical Negligence, Medical Ethics
and Forensic Pathology through Large group Lectures, Tutorials and
Small group Practical classes for MBBS students.
