• M.D(Microbiology) : P.G.Course for medical graduates to specialize in the field of medical microbiology.
• Ph.D for medical and non-medical post graduates
• M.Sc (Medical Microbiology)- A three year P.G. degree course for non-medical as well as medical graduates has been introduced from the academic year 2003-2004 with intake of 3 students p.a
• B.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology) : A Four year degree course with semester pattern with intake of 20 students p.a.

• Vancomycin resistance in Staphyloccus Species.
• Rapid diagnosis of septicaemia& Laboratory monitoring of Antibiotic treatment using modern automated blood culture equipment
• Study of Non-fermenting Gram negative bacilli in HAI cases.
• Biofilm forming pathogens
• MDR Tuberculosis
• Emergence of Coagulase Negative Streptococci  as pathogens.
• Streptococcus Molecular typinv / Serological typing / Biochemical typing.
• Multi Drug Resistant organism (MDROs) surveillance in our hospital.
• Assessment of anti HBsAg Titres among all health care workers.
• Biochemical and Serological characterization of Beta Haemolytic Streptococci from various clinical samples.
