Introduction
The Department of Pharmacology was established in the year 2013.
Apart from U.G and P.G teaching, the Department is involved in teaching
activity to various other courses like B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Allied Health
Sciences and Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
The faculty of the department have passion for teaching and work for the
overall development of the UG students by involving them in several
academic activities such as seminars, Quiz programmes pharma industry
visits, and integrated teaching. There are air conditioned lecture halls,
two demonstration rooms and a seminar hall equipped with high quality
Audio Visual facilities. Other areas in the department- Ethnopharmacology,
reference library, well equipped research lab, Experimental Pharmacology
& Clinical Pharmacology labs and Museum The department is also equipped
with computers and other facilities enabling quick access to latest
updates and emerging trends in field of medicine.
The Head of Department of Pharmacology Dr.K.Umamaheswara Rao has
incorporated intense ADR monitoring, integrated teaching and learning
methods combined with total dedication into research as well as academic
activities to always remain abreast with the latest developments in the
field of Pharmacology.
