Introduction
The
Department of Surgical Oncology was started in June 2007 with an aim to
provide comprehensive care to all cancer patients with the support from
departments of Medical and Radiation oncology. We provide Preventive,
Diagnostic, Curative and Palliative care. The MCh Surgical oncology
training program was started in 2011 and got Medical Council of India
recognition in the year 2014. The department is carrying out other
academic activities like training of undergraduates, postgraduates in
surgery, ENT, OBG and MDS (Oral and Maxillo facial surgery) from other
Institute as well. We are involved in various projects, scientific
research and quality, peer reviewed publications. Nearly 1000 major
surgeries and 2500 minor procedure are done a year.
