And “Namasthe” on behalf of SVIMS family. “SVIMS”
started functioning from February 26, 1993 and the year 2017 –18 is being
celebrated as our Silver Jubilee year, culminating in silver celebrations
on February 26, 2018. What began as a hospital with 6 super specialties to
serve the needy, with 200 beds, 24,732 annual outpatient visits with 30
faculty and 165 staff, SVIMS is now a hospital with 1,094 beds 5,18,889
outpatient visits, super specialty and broad specialty training programs
in all specialties, medical/nursing/physiotherapy colleges, allied health
science programs, research wing, and the largest community outreach
enterprise in the state, with 182 faculty and 2131 staff. We will soon
reach a student strength of 2000!
We thank TTD, Government of Andhra Pradesh and our
donors for their unwavering funding and support in shaping SVIMS from
infancy to adulthood.
While our annual report records the statistics of
growth yearly, I’m proud to launch ‘SVIMS Chronicle’ with this first
edition, to share our multifaceted services, celebrate accomplishments,
thank our well wishers and chronicle our trajectory in recent times. Going
forward, we plan to bring out an edition every three months so as to keep
our friends and colleagues connected.
