Introduction
The College of Nursing SVIMS is a centre for excellence in learning,
teaching, research, health care and service to the community was
establish in September, 1996. The college offers under graduate
degree course B.Sc (N) with intake of 100 students per year, 2 years
post graduate degree course M.Sc (N) with intake of 30 students,
post basic specialized nursing programme in Peritoneal dialysis and
Hemodialysis with intake of 2 seats in each. The goal of the
institution is to achieve global leadership of excellence in nursing
education and research by prioritizing core values such as
integrity, transparency, quality and team work, execution with
passion and human touch and working towards national development.
B.Sc (N) and M.Sc (N) courses offered by the college were
recognized by INC / SNRC. The teaching, learning and evaluation
processes followed by the college were designed, compiling with the
INC norms and regulations. The classes are imported lively by using
different teaching strategies and teaching aids. Highly qualified
teachers of our college mould the students in to confident and
resourceful persons, endowed with unique qualities of love, courage
and warmth. Many of our graduates were well placed both in India and
Overseas those are USA, UAE, Malasia etc., as nurse clinicians,
educators and managers.

for excellence in teaching, leadership, research and compassionate
care to individual, family and community.
MISSION
Provide accessible high quality education to diverse student
population for the development of nursing clinicians, educators,
administrators and researchers.
Prepares its graduates to become exemplary citizen by adhering to
code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling
personal, social and professional obligations so as to respond to
national aspirations.
The mission will be accomplished by faculty who are committed to
education of the highest standard through integration of theory and
practice that reflects the current needs and trends of the society.
