Historic Achievement: Triple-Organ Transplantation
SVIMS became the first public-sector medical institute in India to perform a triple-organ transplant (heart, liver, and kidney) from a single donor under one roof. Executed for patients below the poverty line at zero cost.
- Liver Transplantation: Successful execution of the first liver transplant in an AP public-sector hospital.
- CTVS Services: Resurrected services with over 600 open-heart operations; currently the only public sector MCh CTVS training program in AP.
- Cancer Screening: Pink Bus initiative screened 41,110+ rural patients with 713 oncology treatments initiated.
- Free Immunization: 3,500 children immunized for free since Jan 2024.
