1. Dr. P.V.G.K. Sarma has awarded Guest Researcher Fellow at National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, Maryland, U.S.A "to clone calmodulin like protein and cardiolipin synthetase gene from Mycobacterium phlei."

2. Dr. P.V.G.K. Sarma has awarded BEST CITIZENS OF INDIA for the year 2007 from International Publishing House.

3. Dr. P.V.G.K. Sarma has received the Certificate of Appreciation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the work in in vitro cardiogenesis and making SVIMS proud in the STEM CELL RESEARCH.
