Future Plans

1.      Body Donation programmes and campaign:

In order to overcome cadaveric shortage, one of the steps to be followed is bringing awareness in public and encouraging them to donate bodies for teaching purpose with all the facilities for transport without legal problems as is done for eye donation and blood donation programmes. Department of Anatomy started receiving cadavers under this programme. Wide publicity like conducting awareness programmes are to be organized.

2.      To establish microscopy lab with different microscopes & Photomicrographic attachment for research purpose.

3.      To Modernize Histology Tissue Processing Section with provision for Automatic Processing & Staining to prepare large number of slides for teaching purpose at a time.

4.      Establishment of Surgical skills lab for Clinical Postgraduate students to practice Surgical Skills on Cadavers.

5.      RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: Areas of Research we wish to tap work in future is in the fields of Histology, Histochemistry, Developmental Anatomy, Neuro Anatomy and Genetics.
