1.      A CME was jointly organized jointly by Dept. of Nuclear Medicine/ Dept. of Radiology       and Dept. of Physiology,  on the theme of “Update on Prostate Cancer - From  physiology to palliation” at SVIMS, Tirupati  on 8th DECEMBER, 2018.

2.      In this CME-1^st session on Physiology, clinical presentation, screening and conventional imaging was Chaired by- Dr. A. Thyagi, Prof. & Head, Urology, SVIMS  and  Dr. C. Subramanyam, Senior Consultant Urologist, RUSSH Hospital, Tirupati-                  Dr. Sharvani, Associate Professor, Pathology Dept. Sri Padmavathi Medical College, delivered  a lecture on “Physiology of Prostate and it’s Hormonal regulations”. Dr. Krishna Karthik, Asst. prof. Dept. of Urology, SVIMS delivered a lecture on “Clinical Presentation and screening in Ca. Prostate”. Dr. Pavan Kumar G Kale. Asst. Professor,             Dept. of Radiology, SVIMS   delivered lecture on “TRUS Guided Biopsy”.  Dr. B. Vijayalakshmi Devi, Addl. Professor, Dept. of Radiology, SVIMS, delivered a lecture on “Multi-parametric imaging in Prostate Cancer”.

3.      2^nd session on: Staging of Carcinoma Prostate and Management of locally advanced Ca. Prostate and staging was Chaired by - Dr. O. Ramesh, Sr. Consultant Urologist, Sneha Hospital, Tirupati and Dr. Bhaskar Reddy, Sr. Consultant Urologist, Manasa Kidney Foundation, Tirupati. - Dr. R. Amrutha Lakshmi, Sr. Resident, Dept. of Nuclear Medicine, SVIMS delivered a lecture on “Bone scan in evaluation of Ca. Prostate”.    Dr. N. Mallikarjun Reddy, Professor & Head, Pediatric Oncology Dept. Narayana Medical College, Nellore, delivered a lecture on “Radical Prostatectomy”.  Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Consultant Urologist, Indo-American Hospital, Hyderabad, delivered a Guest Lecture on “Robotic Prostatectomy”. Dr. J. Swapna, Asst. Prof. Dept. of Radiation Oncology, SVIMS delivered a lecture on “Radiotherapy for localized carcinoma Prostate”.   Medical Vs. Surgical Castration - Debate was done by Dr.Sivaramakrishna and Dr. Bhargav Vardhan Reddy.

4.      3^rd session on: Management of Metastatic Prostate Cancer-was Chaired by-             Dr. H. Narendra, Professor & Head, Surgical Oncology, SVIMS and Dr. N. Mallikarjun Reddy, Professor & Head, pediatric Oncology Dept. Narayana Medical College, Nellore Dr. Nischal Prasad Reddy, Consultant Urologist & Andrologist, Apollo Hospital, Nellore and delivered a lecture on “Follow-up of local and metastatic prostate cancer”.  Dr. Sk. Mehabunnisa, Sr. Resident, Nuclear Medicine, SVIMS, delivered a lecture on “FDG PET-CT Biochemical recurrence”. Dr. V.Sai Krishnamohan, Asst. Professor, Nuclear Medicine Dept. SVIMS delivered a lecture on “Ga-68 PSMA in Prostate Cancer”.  

5.      4^th session on: Management of Metastatic CRPC was Chaired  by  Dr. T. Kannan, Prof. & Head, Medical Oncology Dept. SVIMS  & Dr. Suryasen, Sr. Consultant, Surgical Oncologist, Srinivasa Multispecialty Hospital, Tirupati- Dr. Bhargavi, Assoc. Prof. Dept. of Medical Oncology, SVIMS  delivered a lecture on “Management of CRPC”. Dr .M.       Ranadheer Gupta, Assoc. Professor, Nuclear Medicine Dept., SVIMS. delivered a      lecture on “Theranostics in  HRPC”.

6.      5^th session was Chaired by Dr. B.V. Subramanyam, Prof. & Head, Radiation Oncology Dept., SVIMS -Dr. R. Ramyapriya, Asst. Professor delivered a Lecture on “Radionuclide in pain palliation in metastatic Prostate Cancer”.   Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Ranadheer Gupta M, organizing secretary of CME,   Assoc. Professor of Dept. of Nuclear Medicine, SVIMS.

7.      On 7th DECEMBER-2019 Dept. of Nuclear Medicine and Dept. of Radiology are jointly          conducting a CME programme on the Theme “Imaging in Musculo-skeletal Sports        injuries” (will be updated after the CME).

 

Conferences attended:

Attended the 106^th Indian Science Congress,  at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Jalandhar, delivered a guest lecture on Application of Nuclear Medicine Imaging in SVIMS-A tertiary care hospital in South India”  during 3^rd-7^th,  January, 2019.

 

Dr. M.Ranadheer Gupta, Associate Professor:

 Attended 2nd World Congress on Cardiac Imaging and Clinical Cardiology-2019 Conference at Hotel JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Andheri, Mumbai, as Delegate and delivered a lecture on “ Transient ischaemic dilatation and it’s importance in interpretation of Myocardial Perfusion Study”  on 22^nd-24^th February-2019.

 Attended the 3rd Annual Conference of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India, A.P Chapter as delegate, held at Vijayawada Club, Vijayawada on 2^nd-3^rd February, 2019.
