RURAL HEALTH TRAINING CENTRE (RHTC), MANGALAM

Rural  Health Training Centre (RHTC) is located at Mangalam, 10 kms away from SVIMS, SPMCW,.  RHTC Caters rural population of 35,108. There are 6 subcentres under RHTC.

  The various activities at RHTC are :

1.        OPD  services

2.        Immunization Clinic : On every Wednesday.  Immunization of children against vaccine preventable diseases and immunization of mothers.

3.        Health Education activities : Health education is provided to all OPD cases and to the community about nutrition, hygiene, environmental sanitation and infectious disease prevention and also at the time of awareness day programme.

4.        Family Planning: – Distribution of oral contraceptive pills, condoms.  Motivation of eligible couples for tubectomy and vasectomy.

5.        Teaching activities for MBBS students : – Family health survey, clinical postings, clinico social case study for the under graduate students. To acquaint the students for the rural health and functioning of RHTC.

6.        ANC specialist Clinic:- on every Thursday and 9th of every month – Registration of ANC cases, health check up and immunization of mothers.

7.        Paediatrics specialist clinic : On every Wednesday, Paediatric OPD cases will be seen.

8.        Maintenance of records :-  OPD register, ANC Register, PNC Register, Immunization Register, Health Education register, School health Check Register and others.

9.        Celebration of National Health Days:- World Health day, Measles Immunization day, Hand Hygiene day, World Environment day, Vanamahotsav, World Population day, World Patients safety day, World Polio day, World AIDS day, National Pollution Prevention day.

10.    Referral Services :- Referral of cases those who need investigations, hospitalization etc.

URBAN HEALTH TRAINING CENTRE (UHTC), PRAKASAM ROAD, TIRUPATI

Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) is located at Prakasam Road, Tirupati 2 kms away from SVIMS, SPMCW, UHTC Caters rural population of 29,689. There are 8 subcentres under UHTC.
